My best travel destinations of 2016

Dear 2016,

What a year you’ve been. Full of adventure and the best travel destinations.

9 countries, 14 flights, 1 cruise and sooo many wonderful memories, so many happy moments I seriously couldn’t have dreamed of anything more.

Thank you for everything, I’m forever grateful and will cherish the memories for the rest of my life.

So, here is a recap of my crazy beautiful 2016

Turks and Caicos

The clearest, bluest waters I’ve ever seen with sunsets that make you feel like you are in heaven.

Providenciales, Turks and Caicos

Guanacaste, Costa Rica

Amazing sunrises, beautiful post vulcanic beaches, very unique fauna and flora, lush tropical forests, wildlife, and delicious food.

Milan, Italy

I love Milan because it feels like home to me. It’s just one of those cities that you can come back to 100 times and it will always feel good.

My home country, and in my opinion one of the most underrated countries in Europe. Every time I visit I’m taken back in time and simply can’t believe how remarkable and full of history the architecture is, how full of color are the squares in the center of every city,  how picaresque the countryside. If Poland is not on your backetlist, put it there immediately. You will not be dissapinted. Trust me.

Summer in Hamptons, NY

Long Island is a home to one of the most beautiful beaches in the USA making it the ultimate summer destination. I’m so lucky to call it my home.

Rio de Janeiro, Brasil– my first time in South America and a lifelong dream come true. And Rio delivered, the views were truly out of this world. The most beautiful place I’ve visited so far.

Barra de Tijuca, Brazil

Sedona, AZ– and now officially my top destination in the USA. The red rock country with views straight out of Mars, it’s honestly hard to believe that places like that even exist. Must do is a Pink Jeep tour called The Broken Arrow tour which takes you to the Submarine Rock, to name just one. Definitely visit the Enchantment Resort, even if for a lunch or dinner. The views surrounding this resort will leave you speechless. And hike, hike, hike, you won’t be disappointed.

Grenada, West Indies also called The Spice Island, known for its nutmeg plantations and sugar cane fields. Hilly, lush island, full of beautiful flowers and tropical fruits also home to some amazing white sand beaches and clear turquoise waters. True paradise and now my top Caribbean destination.

My top 5 luxury resorts

When I think about perfect luxury resort, I expect beautiful decor, great amenities, amazing views, spectacular sunsets, outstanding service, delicious food, and  pools.

Here is a list of my top 5 luxury resorts, which have met every single one of my requirements and left me with priceless memories of unforgettable times.

  1. RESORT AT PEDREGAL               CABO, MEXICO                                                                                           Pedregal

Why I loved it:

Impeccable customer service with attention to every detail, and having to stay at other 5 star resorts I have to say, the staff at Pedregal really takes it to the next level.

The best breakfast buffet I’ve ever had. Whether you choose from the menu or go with the buffet, the choices are incredible. My favorite was toast brioche, which was simply out of this world!

Private plunge pools in every room with the view you have to see to believe it.  During the winter months, you can do some whale watching right out of your terrace, binoculars are provided.

The best guac delivered daily to your room, accompanied by beer and tortilla chips. Yumm!

Best margaritas I’ve ever had!!! and the choices are endless, spicy mango and cucumber/basil were my top picks.

If you are traveling with kids, make sure to order vanilla milkshakes from the pool bar, they were undescribable!!!

Treat yourself to a dinner at El Farallon, which is set on the cliff and boasting the most spectacular views. Very romantic and the food was definitely delicious. I’m still fantasizing about their carrot soup, which was simply out of this world.
